I have the dew clip for my 8" SCT and its performance is adequate in low to low/medium dew situations. However, it should be noted that there is a fitting problem if a dovetail bar is attached to the OTA. The dew clip is spread and non-functional. Moreover, using a dew shield results in the dew clip being located too far away from the corrector plate to function at all. I much prefer using dew strips or heated dew shields while the dew clip is unused and in its box.
