Upon lots of dedication and patience I was able to take this beautiful image of Elephant's Trunk Nebula IC1396 as viewed (and taken) from my backyard and with my own equipment.
Main challenge? Fighting the heavy light pollution from the nearby city (15 miles from Philadelphia) and the flood lights from my neighbor's house.
I stacked 150 light frames, 50 each filter (Ha, OIII, SII) using my newly acquired mono camera QHY268M on June 28-29 , 2021. All the frames have an exposure duration of 360 seconds and they have been calibrated with Flats, Bias and Dark frames.
The post processing was done by me using Pixinsight.
I wanted to show that despite the light pollution condition still some decent results can be achieved upon some good work.
I hope the community will like and appreciate the result. I truly loved it
