Multiple exposures and techniques were used to capture and preserve the intricate detail of the nucleus area which is typically blown out.
From the nucleus area to the Intergallactic "flux" there is about a 1:1,000 brightness difference ... this image severely compresses the dynamic range of the original subject matter. A little H-alpha
was added to the HII regions.
