Also known as the Needle Galaxy, NGC 4565 is a classic edge-on spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices. This image was taken from my driveway in light polluted, suburban Morristown, NJ under a 3/4 moon on 2/16/08. Shot with a DSI Pro III through a 10 LX200R at f/6.3. Schuler LRGB filters. Total exposure time 4.5 hours with 5 minute subexposures. Guided with a DSI II on ED80 refractor.
