Description

IC443 (the Jellyfish Nebula) is a supernova remnant thought to have originated about 30,000 years ago. It is seen in the lower right of this image. Sh2-249 is the large emission nebula seen roughly in the centre of the image. Taken over three nights in Edmonton, Alberta, under city skies. 3h40m of Ha data, and one hour of combined RGB data.
