My favorite eyepiece

This is my second UWAN, with the 7mm UWAN being my first. This is an outstanding eyepiece in my WO Megrez 80FD refractor. It provides a 35X magnification with a 2.36 degree real field of view, and a 2.31mm exit pupil. Globular clusters and nebulas pop out to me in this eyepiece better than any other eyepiece I have tried so far. Its sharp to the edge in my F/6.9 refractor, and shows only mild leteral false color out near the edge. Slightly more light scatter on planets and super bright objects over my TV plossls, but equally sharp and bright. Contrast and resolution appears excellent to me, and is parfocal with the 7mm UWAN.

Highly recommended - my favorite eyepieces.

Fully MultiCoated (FMC) glass for excellent light transmittance.
Reduced chromatic aberration, but still bright.
Improved contrast compared to similar EPs.
Internally fully blackened (lenses’ edges and internal spacers).
No flaring or ghosting on high-contrast objects.
Parfocal.
Innovative twist-up rubber eyecup.
Long eye-relief for its focal length: 12 mm.
No internal reflections, kidney beaning or other distracting distortions!
High-resistance anodized black barrel.
Smooth design for no hook up in your focuser.
Threaded for filters.
