Some adaptor plates will thread to the front objective cell and others, like the one pictured, will be lined with felt and slip over the objective cell, secured with thumb screws. Using anything other than a Coronado built adaptor is inherently unsafe and Coronado will not guarantee performance or safety (in terms of being securely attached to host telescope) of the filter when used with a non Coronado plate. Even standard plates can take several weeks for delivery if they are not in stock.
