Incredible Imaging Machine
Since first using one of these scopes a few months ago for imaging, I have been incredibly impressed with SN8’s capabilities as a true imaging scope.  Using my DSI-Pro II, the field of view is completely flat side to side with no vegnetting or “flared” stars at the edge.  I have also found that the improvements in the LXD75 mount over the original LXD55 make this a pure joy to work with.  Using the new 3 star alignment will ensure that all GOTOs during your night out will be nearly dead center in the small FOV of a CCD camera.  If you are looking for a small GEM and fast imaging scope without selling the house to get it, this is definitely the mount and scope for you.

Totally worth it...
This scope is super easy to set up and use.  There is a learning curve to navigate with the autostar box, but after a bit of use it is ok.  good veiws in light poluted Detroit if used in conjunction with lens/dew shield to block unwanted light.  the ten inch is too big for its mount and the 6 inch doesnt resolve as well as this!  i have been able to view through my 7.5mm 1.25 piece WITH the 2x barlow!  not bad for a summer night far from the zenith.  i am happy with this scope and hope to soon get a guide scope for it!
