This new model is nearly parfocal (unlike the Big Barlow/Interface combination), so it can be effectively used in TeleVue 2" diagonals. It's performance is excellent with every 1.25" or 2" eyepiece TeleVue makes (even the 31mm Nagler Type 5!).

It's performance is excellent with every 1.25" or 2" eyepiece TeleVue makes (even the 31mm Nagler Type 5!). Both the 2" eyepiece holder and the special 2"-1.25" low-profile adapter use brass clamp rings for secure, non-marring operation.

This barlow has a unique feature: you can unscrew the 2" eyepiece housing and screw on a special T-ring adapter (sold seperately) for solid, compact attachment of CCD or camera equipment.

I use my 2X powermate mostly for prime focus photography along with Tele Vue’s 85mm telescope and a Nikon D70 camera.  The fit and finish of this unit is everything  I’ve come to expect from Tele Vue.   The optical quality of this powermate is excellent.    The quality of my pictures is as good as any pictures taken with the camera manufactures len installed.

Outstanding unit, a must for Barlow users
I love my 2 power mate, quality and performance abound...Without having to say much more, If you need or use Barlows 1.25 or 2 in a 2 focuser, this is the one for YOU! Outstanding unit, a must for Barlow users!
