I have had this superbly made mount mounted on the optional Surveyor Tripod for several months. I was very frustrated to find a smooth, grabngo system for my C102/f5 and a 4 1/4 Newtonian. I was concerned that I thought I needed slow motion controls, but after reading several reviews, I obtained the system. It is perfect. Smooth sweep tracking. At high power, merely place the object in the edge of the field, and let it drift through. I have had several Equatorial Mounts, several Alt-Az mounts, and this is the one. I am never looking back. I can not be happier. Ten Stars out of 10 Stars.
