The Paramount ME Lightweight Base Plate is designed as an adapter to be mounted between an existing pier or tripod and the Paramount ME robotic telescope mount.

The lightweight Base Plate (unannodized) is made of aluminum and has been lightened to approximately 2.7 kg (6 lbs.). All dimensions of the lightweight version are identical to the heavy-duty version. The lightweight version is recommended for portable use on a field tripod.
