These binoculars offer a taste of German engineering at an affordable price.  They have a nice solid feel, thumbpads beneath the binocular tubes for stable observing, a nice case, UV coatings, and excellent optics. I find them a just a little heavier and significantly less jittery than discount brand binoculars with the same magnification and objective size.  
The case is a little larger and boxier than the soft bag that comes with cheap binoculars so these will take up slightly more room in a purse or be a bit more conspicuous on a belt.
