This dovetail bar was designed to bolt directly onto the Mewlon 250 with four stainless steel M6 socket head cap screws (we provide screws). The hole pattern is 48mm x 82mm and may fit other Takahashi OTAs. This bar allows more DEC balancing capability without adding weights to the OTA.

Or, it can be used with one or two Takahashi clamshell rings. Two rings will provide a more rigid setup for imaging with larger refractors (two sets of M8 screws provided). The centered mounting holes make it possible to use a single clamshell ring on an NJP mount equipped with the new Robin Casady 14" DoveNJP saddle.
