If you were to compare the Mylar filters on the market to ALL the Glass Solar filters on the market, it would hit you like a ton of bricks. Glass solar filters are manufactured to withstand a little abuse (but try to avoid). Cosmetically, they are just more pleasing to the eye. Thus, aesthetics and durability are the main differences between the 2 (two) types.
