excellent close focusing
These little binos are great for looking at bugs, because the focus very close. However, Ive found an odd astronomical use for them. I use them to see whether my laser collimator is properly centered on the primary of my 25 dob! Small binoculars, with small aperture. But nice optics and very close focusing make these binos uniquely useful.

Bulky buy fun
If you are looking for a compact binos with mild magnification lens, this is not it.  But I do like carrying this around just to discover the bugs life around my house or my destination.  Yes, you can use it as a tele-scope but you will love it too once you see the bugs life through this lenses.

Good idea but fragile
Mine went out of collimation after a relatively mild drop. I think a prism came loose rather than a failure in the clever sliding objective mechanism. The warranty doesnt cover impact of course. That aside, the optical quality was great for the price and the close-up ability was terrific fun. No birds? Watch bugs!
