Apogee (CCD)

Their CCD cameras are high performance and high quality cameras. Apogee offers two series of CCD cameras. The Ascent Series are high speed, compact housing, and low cost cameras. The Alta Series has very low readout noise, USB2 interface, and advance CCD cooling system.
Apogee also manufactures filters wheels. The AFW50 series of filter wheels provide large format filtering solutions for all Alta cameras and Ascent cameras with large format CCDs. The AFW50-9R filter wheel provides 9 positions for 50mm. The AFW50-7S and AFW50-10S provide 7 and 10 positions for 50mm.

The F8300C uses the color version of the CCD (non-removable uncoated cover glass only).
