The 7-element, Nagler Type 6 design is based on the original patented Nagler design. This new 7-element design update for the short focal length Nagler deserves its own designation.

7mm eyepiece. Smaller, lighter, more compact, 7 element design update using exotic materials, coating process and design ingenuity.

11mm Nagler Type 6. Smaller, lighter, more compact, 7 element design update using exotic materials, coating process and design ingenuity. The 11mm Nagler Type 6 slots in perfectly between the 13mm and 9mm Type 6's and makes a perfect companion to the 7mm.

3.5mm eyepiece. Smaller, lighter, more compact, 7 element design update using exotic materials, coating process and design ingenuity.

2.5mm eyepiece. Smaller, lighter, more compact, 7 element design update using exotic materials, coating process and design ingenuity.

13mm Nagler Type 6 - with the compact 7-element design using different exotic materials plus coating processes. Untouched is the full field pinpoint sharpness, but this new series benefits from greater contrast.

The 16mm Nagler Type 5 is a scaled down version of the "king of the field," 31mm. The Type-5 16mm is a smaller, lighter (0.45 lbs.), 1.25" only, 6-element design which replaces the 8-element 16mm Nagler Type 2.
|
Replacing not only the 12mm Nagler Type 2 but its predecessor 13mm (my first Nagler) and the 11mm, now considered a collector item. Users confirm that for deep sky viewing, the comfort, clarity and contrast of the 12mm Type 4 gets us closer to our "spacewalk" viewing goal.

This high performance, high-contrast, high power eyepiece is ready to take its place among the best planetary eyepieces available... but with a "Nagler" twist. Al incorporated his proven "Nagler" concept into a zoom, while optimizing for the performance factors critical to planetary observers; contrast, resolution, and comfortable eye relief.

17mm Eyepiece. All Tele Vue eyepieces listed have full multi-coatings, blackened lens edges, high index glasses, fold-down eyeguards, and filter threads. They are all based on patented designs by Al Nagler and are individually tested to be diffraction limited on-axis.
|
The 2-4mm Nagler Zoom is recommended for fast, high performance scopes of 800mm focal length or shorter, such as the Tele Vue-60. It has click-stops every half-mm.
|
The 20mm Type 5 is a compact eyepiece that fills out the eyepiece line and is a worthy successor to the heaviest commercial eyepiece ever produced: the Nagler 20mm Type 2 weighed-in at 2.3lb. when introduced in 1986.
|
As compared to the 20mm Nagler Type 2, the new 22mm Nagler Type 4 weighs just 1.5 lbs, has an eye-relief of 19mm (Instadjust too), and has almost 30% more true field area. With these impressive new specs the new 22mm Nagler Type 4 is worth looking into (pun intended).
|
This is a somewhat smaller, lighter and more powerful version of the celebrated 31 Nagler Type 5.
|
With the 31mm, the unique 6-element design using four exotic glasses, maintains the contrast advancement of the Type 4s while achieving a true field area 82% larger than the 22mm Type 4!
