This adapter is supplied with all "ST" series cameras. It plugs into the 9 pin "AO/CFW/SCOPE" port on an ST-7/8/9/10/2000 camera and accepts an RJ-11 to RJ-11 Tracking Cable that connects the camera to your telescope drive's autoguider ("CCD") port. This adapter plug is not required when using a CFW8A.

This ribbon type extension cable with additional ports is also supplied with an AO-7 so that an "ST" series camera can control a CFW8A, telescope drive and AO-7 all at the same time. This cable is provided with every AO-7 as a convenience, however for permanent use the more robust Port Splitter accessory should be used.

The adapter plate is required when using the AO-8 with a CFW8A filter wheel. With a CFW9 filter wheel, the adapter may be used OR the AO-8 may be rotated 180 degrees to avoid the CFW9 motor housing and the D-block is used as a spacer to clear the CFW9 button head screws. Neither the adapter plate nor the D-block are needed with the CFW10.
