Picture of Meade Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filter #47 Violet
7516 - #47 Violet (3% transmission): Strongly rejects red, yellow, and green wavelengths; useful for the study of Martian polar cap regions and for the observation of occasional phenomena in the upper atmosphere of Venus. Enhances contrast between the rings of Saturn. Use only on telescopes of 8" aperture and larger.

$14.95

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filter #25A Red
7515 - #25A Red (14% transmission): strongly blocks the transmission of blue and blue-green wavelengths, resulting in very sharply defined contrast between blue tinted cloud formations on Jupiter and the lighter-toned features of the disk. Also useful for the delineation of the Martian polar ice caps and maria. Because of its relatively low total light transmission the #25A filter should be used on telescopes of 8" or larger.

$14.95

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filter #38A Dark Blue
7519 - #38A Dark Blue (17% transmission): Is a popular filter for the study of Jupiter's disk, owing to the filter's strong rejection of orange and red wavelengths. It increases contrast between the reddish belt structures and enhances detail of the Red Spot. Also useful for the study of isolated phenomena, such as dust storms, on Mars, as well as the belt structure of Saturn. Increases contrast of subtle cloud markings on Venus.

$14.95

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filter #21 Orange
7510 - #21 Orange (46% transmission): Reduces or blocks transmission of blue-green wavelengths. Use on Jupiter and Saturn to enhance detail in the belts and polar regions. Sharpens boundaries between yellow-orange area and blue-green regions on Mars, resulting in a darkening of edge-detail in the Martian maria.

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Moon Filter: ND96
07531 - Transmits light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum. Reduces glare and increases clarity of the moon in scopes 4" plus. Also useful for splitting double stars when one staris significantly brighter than the other.

$17.99

Picture of Meade #3200 Lunar Planetary Filter Set
07544 - An economical alternative to Series 4000 filters, this set includes widely-used red, yellow, blue and neutral density filters that adapt to most viewing conditions. They fit into the barrels of any Meade 1.25" eyepiece.

$39.00

Picture of Meade #905 Variable Polarizing Filter 1.25"
07286 - The adjustable way to reduce glare when observing the moon. Includes two polarizer filters mounted in a special cell that accepts 1.25" eyepieces. Allows you to vary light transmission from 5% to 25% so you can adjust the filter’s brightness to match the brightness of the moon during different phases. Variable brightness is also useful when you change magnification or observe through telescopes of various apertures.

$49.00

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Color Filter Set #1
07530 - Each Series 4000 filter is packed in a foam-fitted plastic case for safe long-term storage. The color filters come in four economically priced sets. Set includes one each #12 Yellow, #23A Light-Red, #58 Green, #80A Blue.

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Color Filter Set #2
07529 - Depending on atmospheric conditions on Earth and the planet being observed (or photographed), the advantages of color filters can be anywhere from subtle to dramatic. Set #2 includes one each #11 Yellow-Green, #25A Red, #47 Violet, #82A Light-Blue.

$49.00

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Color Filter Set #3
07528 - Depending on atmospheric conditions on Earth and the planet being observed (or photographed), the advantages of color filters can be anywhere from subtle to dramatic. Includes one each #8 Light Yellow, #21 Orange, #38A Dark Blue, #56 Light Green.

Picture of Meade #908N Nebular Filter
07525 - The Meade Narrowband Nebular Filter should be viewed as a complement to, not as a substitute for, the Broadband Filter. The Broadband Filter enhances the performance of a much wider range of nebular objects; the Narrowband Filter improves contrast and visible detail on fewer objects, but in these more limited cases it does so to a most dramatic level.

$89.00

Picture of Meade #908X O-III Nebula Filter 1.25"
07541 - For observation of diffuse emission and planetary nebulae the Meade #908X Oxygen-III (O-III) nebular filter is the clear choice. It provides an extraordinary level of nebular filtration. In fact, with one of these filters, you can often see more of a nebula in a light-polluted, city environment than you can in a dark-sky setting without the filter.

Picture of Meade #911X 0-III Nebular Filter
7543 - Threads onto the rear cells of Meade LX-series mirror-lens telescopes and onto Meade ED Apochromatic Refractors, using the Universal Thread Adapter. Also threads to other brands of SCT's as well. Clear aperture: 36mm.

Picture of Meade Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filter #23A Light Red
7514 - #23A Light Red (25% transmission): On telescopes of 6" aperture and larger the #23A does approximately the same functions as the #21 filter, but with stronger contrast and enhancement of marginally defined blue-green surface detail. Useful primarily on Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars. Increases contrast between Mercury and bright blue sky during daylight observations or during twilight.
