When installed, lightly tightening the clutch knob with two fingers is all that is required to hold even the most unbalanced scope firmly in position. You'll no longer have to turn the declination knob uncomfortably tight or risk having your knob popping off as you tighten it to it's breaking point.

This steel thread insert kit is intended for use with Meade 7" through 12" LX200GPS telescopes. This stud threads approximately 1/4" deep into the scope's aluminum trunnion.

This kit is intended for use with all Meade 7" through 12" and all 16" Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes - including the LX200GPS, the LX200 Classic, the LX90, the LX50 and the LX10. It will remove most of the backlash in Meade's focusing system and consistently provides a light precise feel to the focuser knob.

If your 7", 8", 10" or 12" Meade LX200GPS wasmanufactured after August 2005 it already has precision brass transfer gears in the drive train, and you are already getting about 50% of the benefit that older GPS scopes with molded plastic transfer gears get when upgrading to Buck's Gears. This tune-up kit further increases the precision of your drives through a series of adjustments that Meade's assembly line did not take the time to optimize or simply cannot make.

Some SCTs are very nose heavy when equipped with a dew shield, and this is the situation that the EZ Balance is designed to correct. This simple but unique 3.3 pound counterweight has a thin flange that fits between the telescope backplate and the EyeOpener (or the manufacturer's supplied visual back). It fits all 10" through 14" Meade and Celestron SCTs, from early models to current versions.

Reduce the height of your Meade giant field tripod (supplied with the 12" and 14" LX200GPS scopes) to a more comfortable viewing height. This kit reduces 39" tall tripods shipped prior to November 2003 from 39" to 31", 30", 29" or 28". It also reduces the 31" tall tripods manufactured since then to 30", 29" or 28".

This adapter allows the attachment of anything with a 2" tube (such as a standard 2" diagonal) to be attached directly to your Meade SCT without using the microfocuser. By doing so, you significantly shorten the optical train, improving backfocus while permitting accessories to clear the scope base - allowing telescope use at 90° declination.

The rugged Get-A-Grip handles were specifically designed for Meade's 12" and 14" LX200GPS telescopes, but can also be installed on the smaller LX200GPS scopes as well as the entire LX200 Classic family of telescopes.

An EyeOpener enhances the performance of long focal length 2" eyepieces on Meade 10”, 12" and 14” LX200 scopes by increasing the eyepiece optical path size 65%. Get all of the eyepiece aperture that you paid for while enjoying the full benefit of 2" eyepieces.

If your 7", 8", 10" or 12" Meade LX200GPS was manufactured prior to September 2004 it has molded plastic transfer gears in the drive train. Replace these plastic gears with precision machined high strength stainless steel gears. This kit not only upgrades the transfer gears; it addresses and tunes the full mechanical drive system for both axes.

Replace the molded plastic gears in your 14" drive train with precision machined high strength stainless steel gears. Install a simple but positive worm engagement system. This kit not only upgrades and adjusts the scope's gears; it addresses and tunes the full mechanical drive system for both axes.
