Denkmeier Optical
Denkmeier Optical, Inc. is known for their innovated star diagonals. The co-owner Russ Lederman invented the Power X Switch & Power Switch Star diagonals. Denkmeier Optical also manufactures binoviewers and eyepieces. All their products go under hands-on quality control procedures.
Denkmeier Optical offers two world-class large aperture binoviewers. The Standard binoviewer has Denkmeier Optical’s patented Power Switching device which turning a single pair of eyepieces into three pairs. It also has their 2” OCS System and works on any telescope. Denkmeier Optical’s Denk II has all the same features as the Standard binoviewer. In addition, the Denk II has a discernable boost in contrast and sharpness as compared to the Standard binoviewer. The very highly polished surfaces of the Denk II provide a discernable edge in sharpness on planetary images.
Denkmeier Optical provides complete binoviewer systems. They offer the Standard Super System and the Denk II Super System. All parts are included in both the Standard and The Denk II Super Systems for using with any telescope. Every System includes the Dual Arm Power x Switch and the 2" OCS System. The only
difference between The Standard and Denk II Models is the Binoviewer.
Denkmeier Optical manufactures a variety of power switch diagonals. The #S1 diagonal model is for SCTs using single eyepieces. Model #S2 is designed for SCTs using Binoviewers. The #R1 Model is for Refractors with typical focus travel capabilities and the #R2 model is for Refractors using single eyepieces or binoviewers

Diagonal #R1 is made to allow multi-magnification of most binoviewers when used in Refractors. Just add any Denkmeier Binoviewer and #R1 will allow the Denk Binoviewer to reach low, mid, and high magnifications with a single pair of eyepieces. Single eyepieces also have a multi-magnification function.

Designed for refractors that can handle a little extra weight. It has two 2" format Power x Switch devices that produce a range of magnifications with any single eyepiece or a binoviewer. Our Power x Switch Star Diagonal allows a Denkmeier Standard or Premium Denk II Binoviewer as well as some other binoviewers to work at up to 6 magnifications with only one pair of eyepieces in most Refractors.
