0.5PST - The Personal Solar Telescope incorporates state-of-the-art, patented technology to provide superb views of both Solar surface detail and prominences. The PST uses a 5mm blocking filter that cannot be removed or changed. It uses a modified Sol Ranger as its built-in sunfinder. Includes a 20mm Kellner multi-coated eyepiece. This model includes the PSM40 40mm module, reducing the bandwidth to 0.5A.

The front singlet lens reduces the stray-light over an achromat by half. The focal length is 500mm providing a ~4.5 mm image thru a 6 mm blocking filter. Fine adjustment is achieved with a Crayford style focuser with 10:1 reduction.
